ReDefiners' Spanish Summer STEAM Adventure is a full-day immersive program where kids ages 6–12 explore the Dominican Republic through language, culture, science, art, and sports—all in a safe, local setting.

Merengue & Bachata
Kids learn the rhythms, steps, and songs that are national symbols of Dominican identity. Dance, clap, move—and soak up Spanish vocabulary naturally.
Dominican Cuisine
Taste mangú, La Bandera Dominicana, tostones, and more. Food is culture—and it's delicious. Themed food days connect kids to the flavors of the island.
Baseball as Culture
Baseball is the Dominican national passion. Kids play the game while learning its cultural meaning—community pride, teamwork, and Dominican spirit.
Carnaval Arts & Crafts

Does my child need to speak Spanish already?
Not at all! Our program is beginner-friendly. Kids learn Spanish through games, songs, and activities—not grammar worksheets. All levels are welcome.
Where is the camp located?
The camp is located at Temple Terrace United Methodist Church, 5030 E Busch Blvd, Temple Terrace, FL 33617. Rest assured, there is no religious affiliation or related activities. Our camp offers ample natural light, outdoor play, and a vibrant environment for both language learning and summer fun.
Who runs the program?
ReDefiners World Languages, a trusted Tampa-based organization with experienced bilingual educators and community partners. All staff, volunteers, and contracted team members complete Level II fingerprinting and FBI background screening.
How do I qualify for the income-based discount?
To apply for the 54% discount, ensure your child qualifies for Free/Reduced school meals and submit proof of income eligibility during the enrollment process. Check here if you qualify!
Is the sibling discount available with the income-based price?
The 10% sibling discount applies to the full-price experience only (for each additional student enrolled beyond the first). The income-based discount is a separate deal.
What if my child already goes to a Spanish immersion school?
This program is perfect for bilingual kids who want to keep their Spanish sharp over summer through fun, cultural activities—not classroom instruction.
What safety measures are in place?
We maintain structured supervision at all times, clear check-in and check-out procedures, low staff-to-student ratios, and detailed safety protocols for all activities, including swimming and field trips.
Are swim lessons and field trips included?
Yes — structured swimming classes and field trips are part of the program. We use trusted transportation and accompany kids at all times, and detailed safety procedures are shared with parents before camp starts.
